Yup, Still Icy

I tried to go out riding this morning. The roads were clearing so I thought I'd give it a go. The 'hood where Travis lives is still buried so she wasn't going to join me. It might be dicey so a nice leisurely ride on a Friday morning would suffice.

Uh, the bike path on Kelly drive was covered in black ice. A slick here, a slick there - enough to make it very slow going. I made it to Falls Bridge, crossed and up the road and it's a wreck, pothole city. It's early in the morning so I ride way out into the street, but it was still a wreck. Due to my slow going, I was running out of time so I turned back and made my way home on West River Drive, which was blessedly clear of ice. Doh! I should have mapped out a route that avoided bike paths altogether, so now I know for next time.

Still nice to be outside though :)
