2 Rides in 2 Days

Wow, what a great weekend! With the weather in the low 50s and the snow all but gone, it was the perfect weekend to get in some long overdue outdoor riding. I had a ride on Saturday and one on Sunday, both C level rides with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia and each had between 10-12 people in the group. I've only ever ridden with 4 people max so this was new territory for me.

Yesterday we rode out to Conshohocken with a stop for some coffee and today we rode out to Plymouth Meeting to the IKEA. Both rides were about 38 miles, although the pace on Saturday was a little faster so we finished sooner. With the lovely weather, almost everyone in Philly was on the bike/jogging paths so riding down Kelly Drive was like playing a live action version of Frogger.

I feel a bit knackered, but not very sore at all- I think all my work in the gym is continuing to pay off and I'm looking forward to getting back out there in the mornings before work. Anyone want to join me?

A fun note, for the first time I broke the posted speed limit, 31 mph in a 25 mph!
